I do not attend the surgery frequently but had cause to ring this morning (6jan) for advice.A very pleasant receptionist listened to my problem and said a doctor would ring me, within an hour a lady dr who I understand was a locum, rang and after listening to my concerns provided hopefully a possible solution, she was so patient and kind and I felt included and invoved every step of the way - Thankyou.

I ordered a repeat prescription online. On the day it should have been ready to collect, only one item was available. The assistant had to look for the rest which took several minutes. The rest of the items were found, but one item was still unavailable. The assistant said that they needed to ask the Doctor to prescribe an alternative and it would be ready the next day. The next day it was not available to collect and I was told it was currently with the Doctor. I said I would call in the next day. When I did call in for it, it was still not available, I was told to go to reception to enquire about it. The receptionist went to see the Doctor, then returned with the prescription, which I then took through to the pharmacy. It took more than a week to get all my required medication. This is not the first time I have experienced this type of problem. The duty pharmacist was more interested in laughing and flirting with the young female members of staff than in sorting out my issue.

I have been with this GP for quite a few years, I have noticed that the service has gone completely down hill. I never get to see my doctor ever. It is so hard to get an appointment, for example my son was very ill when he was one years old and had open surgery regarding the liver. my son has been ill for 3 weeks now with sickness diarrhoea of and on, he has been signed of from school under investigation. The doctor ask me to go to reception and book a blood test for my son. I was told at the desk they do not do blood test for children under 16 years which is fair enough, so I was told to go to the hospital to get a blood test. I was also told by the receptionist that it is a walk in, and was also given the times. I turned up at the hospital with my sick son, and then to be told we do not do blood test for children under 16 years here, you need to go to the children department so off I went then to be told there you need an appointment, the next available appointment would be in 3 weeks times, I could not believe it. so I rang there doctor surgery again and asked why they sent me there and no one could give my son a blood test, they said we are really sorry for the wrong information we gave you. I asked to speak to a doctor again at the surgery and she gave me a number to call on Monday and said that would be quicker, but yet again I got though to the same people in the children centre and yet again I was offered an appointment 3 weeks later. I have gave up and luckily I rang Kings college hospital and they have made an appointment to see my son on the 17th with a scan and blood test. I have no confidence with this doctors surgery anymore. This morning I rang for an appointment for me and left my details and she said a doctor will call you within the hour, I received a call later from a lady on reception asking for a different name. can you believe it they don't even have the correct name they don't know what they are doing. I would never recommend Lime tree surgery in Findon to anyone.

I was disappointed today that Lime Tree Surgery have a policy not to post anything to patients because of the postage cost. I collected a letter for my mother who cares for my father who has Alzheimer's Disease; it is better that he is not left at home alone. My mother asked me to collect her letter which was not a problem for me. However, what I object to is that there does not appear to be consideration, from Lime Tree Surgery, towards my mother as a carer. She is now needing to ask the family more and more for help which we don't mind giving in the slightest. Wherever possible I want to make my mother's life easier to cope with so that she has the strength to carry on looking after my father. Obviously she is having to ask more and more for family help, sometimes its really difficult for all of us to ask for help continually and it must be for my mum. If the surgery had just considered this and popped her letter into the post then it would be one less thing that she would have to ask help with. I would like Lime Tree Surgery to think hard about how carers, who are also patients of the practice, are looked after - including stretching to the cost of a stamp to make life a little easier for her. I was also concerned that when I collected the letter, that confidentiality was not maintained because it had not been put into an envelope. This is not the professional standard that I expect from Lime Tree Surgery. NB - I was unable to proceed with this review unless I selected the stars above. However this section is not applicable so I have just gone for the middle one. Please ignore this selection.
